Bacon & Banana Peppers Grilled Cheese

If you're looking for a way to spice up your grilled cheese this is the perfect recipe for you. First the bread is spread with garlic butter and then topped with mozzarella cheese. I added real bacon bits because everything is better with bacon, and banana peppers to give the sandwich a kick.

Great recipe for lunch or an easy dinner.

Bacon & Banana Peppers Grilled Cheese

Prep Time: 5 min              Cooking Time: 5 min             Total Time: 10 min

Yield: 2 Sandwiches

Ingredients

4 tbsp garlic butter

4 slices bread

1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated

1/4 cup real bacon bits

1/4 cup banana pepper rings

Instructions
  • Heat large frying pan on medium heat.

  • Spread garlic butter on one side of each piece of bread.

  • Place two slices of bread butter side down in frying pan.

  • Sprinkle half of the cheese evenly over the two slices of bread.

  • Sprinkle both the bacon bits and pepper rings over the cheese.

  • Top with remaining cheese and slices of bread butter side up.

  • When the bottom slices of bread are nicely browned flip the sandwiches to brown the remaining side.

  • Slice each sandwich in half and serve.

  • Enjoy!
